The teamwork started in January of 1998 when Frans Derksen, experienced grinding craftsman and toolmaking expert trained with leading semicon back-end companies started his own company: Tooling Specialist Derksen (TSD). In over 25 years, the company grew to more than 30 team members working intimately to deliver the highest precision parts, day-in-day-out.
In 2019, TSD gave birth to Powertrim Technologies, developer of the Flex line Power Module manufacturing platform. In 2024, Powertrim Technologies was carved out of TSD and became an independent entity when Include Industries invested and Ilko Bosman & Daan Kersten took the helm.
In October 2025, Powertrim Technologies and TSD were joined again in one group, Powertrim International with the help of industrial investor ESquare Capital Partners. In this merge, the original ‘Tooling Specialist Derksen’-name was changed to TSD Tooling & Precision to reflect its international ambition.

Hans is trained as a mechanical designer and engineer which he combined with an executive MBA. After having started as a designer and project lead in the precision engineering domain, he developed to become a business unit manager for multidisciplinary machine-building and -automation applications for the high-tech and semiconductor industry. As Product Group Manager for Fico (part of BESI) he became responsible for the molding product group. In the last 15 years Hans has held operations and end-responsible positions in the packaging industry. In the Powertrim leadership team, Hans drives new technology development as well as operational excellence in executing on our vision to become the #1 OEM in high performance handling, assembly and testing technology for automated power electronics manufacturing.
